What Really Is The Fast Track To Success?

Well if you believe some of the hype that’s out there, the fast track is some mythical place you arrive at. It allows you to get started and become an overnight success and all of your dreams come true within a matter of weeks if not months. They say things like “we will put you on the fast track to success, just buy my book or join my team.” What a load of junk.

I will admit, I have tried a lot of different things that have offered me the world but in reality have delivered very little and had the realisation that nothing beats time and hard word. Let’s have a reality check and get the truth on what the fast track to success really is and what it will take.

First if you have been around me for any length of time, you know I am a pretty straight shooter (although when I do go shooting, I never seem to hit the bullseye, we will talk about that another time lol), I see and talk to so many people who have drunk the “hype cool aid” and believe what some marketing guru has told them without doing any real research themselves.

Did you know that when you read those articles, posts, ebooks and watch those videos from the so called gurus who say “I make $20,000 per month just by sending one email per day” or “I built a network marketing business to a 6 figure income within 3 – 6 months” what they’re not telling you is the work and commitment they put into themselves, their lists and their business to acheive that BEFORE that actually happened.

You see those “big wigs” who get things done fast and tell you to get on the fast track generally took years and years to build a list or profile that allowed them to have a huge following and not just any kind of following, people who believe, trust and admire them. Leaders who move into the Network Marketing Industry who have had large businesses or even large churches who seem to be an overnight success, actually took 10 – 20 years to get to that over night success because they did the most important thing they could do, they build relationships before hand.

So what do the rest of us do to get on the fast track?

We do what they did. Yes the fast track really is a 2 – 5 year plan. But it’s a 2 – 5 year plan of consistent high-level activity. Activity that generates a positive result that isn’t just administration.

Let’s face it, if you don’t do something, you wont get anything different to what you are getting today. Something has to change, so it might as well be the activity you are doing. The 2-5 year plan is better than the 40 year plan of working for someone else.

You’re probably thinking “James I don’t have 2 – 5 years to make money”. I am not saying it will take you 2 – 5 years to make any money, I am saying it will take you time to get on an income that will give you freedom however as you are building your business, you will also be earning an income, an income that will help you get ahead. Put some of it aside, pay off some debt and build a lifestyle, it will take time though for you to earn an income large enough for you to replace your job.

Remember you will be working full time on your job and part time on your and part time on your fortune as Jim Rhon used to say. One of the greatest things we did was save the money we were making from our network marketing business while I was still working my full time job. It allowed us to buy a block of land and then build our first dream home. Beautiful!
