Do you know what your real product is?

If you get this wrong, you will only ever reach the lower ranks in your home based business. It is one of the things that the top people understand and they use it like a weapon of mass recruiting.

Too many people believe the company line that the product you are marketing is the one that your company gets you to sell. They even think that it may even be their company but in fact it isn’t…

The real product you have is YOU… and don’t believe what anyone else says. Think about it this way, when your going to buy something, if you didn’t trust the person selling it, would you buy it? Of course not, you would walk away and if you wanted that product, you would find another person or store that you could buy it from. So the first product you have to sell, is YOU!

This is why so many leaders in the home business industry spend more and more time developing themselves. They are reading books, listening to CDs and attending events. They go to personal development programs and do whatever they can to become better.

They know that if they stay the same as they are today, they will continue to achieve the same results. Now obviously, if they or you are happy with the results you are achieving then don’t make any changes, but because you are here, I know you are looking to become better. You are looking to hit that next leadership level and create more income.

So does this mean that you are never going to talk about your company and or your product, yes you will, however you need to learn that you are the first product you need to sell. The way you dress, the way you present, the way you look, the questions you ask,  and even the way you smell (I have met some people that really need to look after their personal hygiene lol) plays a big difference in the outcome.

Why?

Because people buy on “feelings” and “emotions” they don’t buy on logic… So ask yourself this question. How are you making people feel?

One of the things I get some of my team and people I am working with to do is exactly what I did… Look in the mirror and present to yourself. Watch your facial expressions, listen to yourself and ask yourself “am I doing anything that will be putting someone off at the moment?”

I can hear some of you saying: “But my product sells itself…” while yes I do believe that having a great product does help, it is no where near as important as you being a person that makes others “feel good” that  you be the person that helps your prospect “feel” that this is something they want to do and or buy.
