How to succeed in network marketing let’s dispel a myth.
Over the past 10 years of working with people I have seen this concern more times than I want to remember. Budding Entrepreneurs have stepped out on the water to see if they have what it takes to succeed. They ask the question how to succeed in network marketing to themselves and to their upline with varying responses.
They do everything they are told, make all the calls, attend all the meetings and put their heart and soul into it, only to have their dreams dashed and hopes shattered. Many times this happens because the answer they received to their question how to succeed in network marketing was actually wrong or only partially answered.
Unfortunately, this becomes their reason to not try again. (even though I hate the word try, it is permission to fail It is like their previous experience has become their excuse for not succeeding. They become too afraid to get moving again even when shown what could be the best fit for them. They can see a new system, new product and the best training in the world, however because they were hurt of misled before they find it hard to trust again. Who can blame them and they never ask the question how to succeed in network marketing again.
My heart goes out to those people. More often than not, it was not the product or industry that let them down but the training system and the business they were involved in.
Just because you may have failed or someone you know may have failed in business before, does not mean that you will fail next time, especially if you receive the right training and you are prepared to follow the proven instructions of the person that is guiding you, especially if it is like Dual Networking, the system we have created. (We call it The A Team 247 now)
So how can you be sure that what happened in the past won’t happen again?
Well it is simple. Follow some of these tips below and you should find that all the concerns you had will either be taken away (if it is the right one for you) or alarm bells will go off if it is the wrong one.
These are some of my answers for how to succeed in network marketing:
- Get an insiders view. Ask to listen into the way they coach their team. Find a team and a mentor that can help you. Someone that is active in building their business and has runs on the board. The last person you want to partner with is someone who is not doing anything, because you will be stranded. Even if that person has had incredible success in the past, it does not mean that they will ever do anything in the future. It is all about being in an active vibrant team.
- Look at their training. What I do when I come across someone who has had a bad previous experience and needs some help in overcoming their hurts, someone that has the courage again to ask how to succeed in network marketing. I take them by the hand and allow them to see how I work. They can listen to prospecting calls, attending meetings and come on our team webinars etc. I show them that we have nothing to hide but everything to offer if they are the right person for us.
- Check out their products. Buy some of their products and use them. Become a customer. If you get a positive result you can feel confident that others will as well. Our company has a 3 – 6 month 100% satisfaction guarantee. It does not get much better than that.
- Get involved. Actively participate. Attend the meetings and be everywhere you can be.
Most professionals will allow you to come along on the journey for a little while. They may not give you their intellectual property until you have made a commitment to them, but you will be able to get a good idea to see if what their business is and see if it is a fit for you, remember they don’t want to waste their time as much as you don’t want to waste yours.
If you really want to get a true idea of their business look at the energy of the team, how they honour one another and what they are saying about the products and systems. Are the people excited and sharing success stories? We use a team facebook group to do this. It has helped so many people asking the same question to see that this is a network marketing team of success.
You see it does not matter what happened in the past, what matters now is what are you going to make your future look like. Are you going to learn from what you did and do things differently?
If you are one of those people that allows others to control your future and life, this is going to have to be one of the things that you break free of.
Allowing “other peoples failures” stop you from going after your dreams is one of the biggest mistakes you will ever make. You see most people you hang out with want to keep you in the same spot they are. If you start to have any type of success most other people will feel challenged. They become like the crabs in a low edged bowl. One crab may try to get out but as soon as one of the crabs starts to make a run for it the other crabs will grab a hold and pull them down. Don’t allow others to do this to you.
Most entrepreneur’s fails 2 to 3 times before they actually get a success under the belt and as they say, “success leaves clues”.
So how to succeed in network marketing, it comes down to yes not giving up, but it also comes down to the right company, but more importantly the right team and the right training. The team and the leader play a big part in what we do. There is nothing worse than being in a team that is dead.
The next thing to do is give yourself a break. Everyone makes mistakes and goes through a growth process. I like to use the analogy of a chef. They work as an apprentice for 4 – 5 years and at the end of that 4 – 5 year apprenticeship they hope to finish on an average income of around $65,000 p.a. if they are lucky, yet in their first year the only thing they get to do is use the main tools of their trade. And the way they get to learn those tools is by peeling onions and chopping potatoes. So if you think about it, their first year is full of blood and tears. Does it sound familiar?
Sure I believe we should definitely learn from our previous experiences but they should not stop us from trying new things or even old things but in a new way.
Like I said at the beginning of this post, a lot of time the reason most people fail is because of the wrong training or no training at all, add in there not having a system to follow and you are heading for a major catastrophe. This is what happens for most people. Make sure it does not happen to you.
