What is “Internet Network Marketing”?
“Internet Network Marketing” would have to be one of the most fiercely debated subjects in the network marketing MLM industry. Today I am going to show you where it fits in your business.
This will be one of my most important posts so far, so pay close attention.
What is “Internet Network Marketing”?
This is just another way of building your network marketing business. The people who subscribe to this form of business development strategies believe that it is the ONLY way to build and that the old way of building relationships and helping people you know is dead.
My thoughts are that this belief is not correct at all. I do believe that there is a place for the internet, however it is very strategic but simple to implement. More on that later.
Internet network marketers believe that the old way of building your network marketing business is in trouble. First let me tell you my thoughts. I believe that this amazing industry is not in trouble, not if my numbers mean anything. As the economy continues to be uncertain, more and more people are looking for solutions to what they should do to take control of their financial future. Whether they find what they are looking for because someone called them or because they went on the internet, it does not matter. What does matter is that the person looking for a solution FINDS what they are looking for.
This is where the rubber meets the road, so to speak. Business is all about giving to people what they are looking for and if you are only offering one way to build a business, than you are going to be in trouble.
Your potential partner is intelligent enough to know that there are going to be different solutions to their problem, your role as a professional in the network marketing industry is to provide that solution.
This does not mean that you need to be the master in what “they” choose, meaning the avenue they decide to follow. If you are an expert with online strategies, however your new business partner has a natural flair with talking to people, what direction do you think they should go? Of course, you need to be able to direct them towards THEIR strengths, NOT YOURS…
In my experience, not everyone has the patience to learn the skills to market online but if you don’t have an alternative for these people, what will happen? Simple, they will leave frustrated and go find something else that does meet their needs. The same is true for other people who are not naturals when it comes to speaking to people, so when you tell them to make a list and start calling that list, they freeze and never move another muscle.
So here is the solution, be the one that knows how to direct your new person to where they are going, and find the answers to how they can use their strengths in building their business. Continue to build the relationship and learn together.
Just because you may not know how to turn on a computer or set up a blog does not mean your new person does not, or vice versa, just because you are not a natural with people and break out in the sweats every time you have to speak to someone, does not mean your new person is like you either.
Below is what I believe EVERYONE needs to know today when it comes to building their business.
Internet network marketing is NOT the only way to build, and many, many people are failing by just following that method. The answer is become proficient in both areas. Don’t worry you don’t need to know it all, what you do need is to develop a couple of key skills.
This is what I believe you need to learn:
Offline:
1. Learn how to build relationships by becoming proficient in FORM.
2. Learn how to speak to people no matter where you are, get their details, send out info and follow up.
Online/Technology:
1. Learn how to use an auto responder.
2. Learn how to use Webinars.
3. Text Messages (let me tell you, we have some training around using this and it will blow your mind. I want you to know that if you are sending out text messages to your team and prospects on what is happening in your business, it will send them into a frenzy)
Last, but not least, have a system that teaches your new person to build their business using the strengths they already have.

Hi Interesting article. I totally agree the importance of allowing people to work to their strengths, not be driven to try to duplicate you and your strengths.
But… When you come to on-line marketing you list three tools, but do not cover marketing as such. Its vital to understand how to conduct an on-line marketing campaign. To understand the options for getting your message out there, to reach and connect with prospects in the first instance. (I guess a similar point could be made in relation to the offline marketing also.)

you are correct. You can use the same phylosophies when marketing offline as you do online. It is all about relationship and how you make the person feel. How to generate the leads is a whole different story altogether. 🙂
