Learn how to let go and don’t hold on too tightly

You may have to learn to let go, let go of hurt, old business methods, ideas, goals and so much more. Be open today because as you read todays article you will learn how to let go or more importantly that you have things to let go of.

There are a things in life we hold on to too tightly, things that maybe we shouldn’t. Sometimes it can be a goal. We want something to happen by a certain period of time and when it doesn’t we want to quit, give up and think that it wasn’t of God. People throw their hands up in the air and stop altogether rather than realising that they were meant to let go of that goal a long time ago so that they could grab a hold of the next opportunity that is coming their way. Kind of like Tarzan swinging through the trees. He needed to let go of one vine completely so that he could grab a hold of the next one.

You may also be holding onto the “method” that you believe will get you to your goal. You believe that it must look a certain way for it to happen and be done a certain way forgetting that we worship The God of infinite possibilities. I am sure He has a chuckle sometimes at how small we think and forget how big He thinks and how incomparable He is.

What about a way of thinking, you have decided to believe one way about something rather than seeing that there may be other ways to look at it. You holding onto the wrong that others have done rather than looking at what you have done. Because when there is personal responsibility there is release. You are no longer a victim, you are empowered. Start looking at what you will gain rather than what you have lost.

God is all about change and new things, sometimes those changes are forced on to us as a result of our actions, other times it is a result of outside circumstances and then still again it’s because God gives you clear direction to do something you don’t normally do.

There is a law of “reaping and sowing”. This law works in every area of our lives, not just in our finances. Of course we all know the teaching that if we give, it will come back to us. But what about our actions, did you know that your actions will reap as well. If you want love, you have to give love. If you want friendship than give friendship. If you want a relationship, you have to be willing to give in your relationship.

You will see this law work out in your life over and over again. You may not realise why certain things are happening and changes are coming however if you take the time to look at what you have sown, you will see the answer.

If you hold onto old ways of doing business that no longer work or have been replaced by better or more modern ways, you will reap the reward of not willing to change.

Many business leaders have not been able to make the changes they needed to make within their businesses, so they sit on the sidelines watching the world and their dreams pass them by rather than jumping in and learning new skills. Many times I have seen leaders lose teams because they were not able to give them the support they needed.

These leaders held onto the old rather than embracing the new.

Always remember, God is doing a new thing. He is excited about the future and the future you have. He wants to show off in your life, He wants you to be a light for Him so that others will change and grow. Be the person He wants you to be.
