Showing you how to generate leads has to be one of my favourite topics. For some reason it gives me energy and I hope that this series will answer some questions for you.

For those of you looking for more detail just leave your questions at the bottom of this post and I will do my best to answer them.

This will be the start of a series of posts that will be showing you how to generate leads for your business. It won’t matter if you are in network marketing or not, the principles will be the same and will work for you.

Where to start with learning how to generate leads?

1. Work from your passion
The most important thing when marketing online, make sure you are working on your passion. Many people don’t work from their passion, and because of this, they find the work draining and frustrating. However when they focus on something they are passionate about, they become invigorated and can’t wait to post the next article or research their next keyword.
My wife found this out for her site. www.kaseyhannan.com. At first she did not want to start a blog, she was just happy helping me with all of mine, then she found a topic that she was passionate about, Kids For Health, and now I can’t get her away from her blog, in fact I have this sneaky feeling that her blog will generate more traffic than mine…

2. Stay specific
Whatever type of marketing you are doing, stay specific to your target market. Don’t deviate or become too diverse. Be laser focused and your readers, listeners and followers will reward you handsomely for it. An example of this would be if your site is about fat loss, don’t start talking about telecommunication. Stay on target…

3. What are you prepared to give away FREE
This has to do with your “optin”. What value are you prepared to give to your readers just for leaving their details. Whatever you choose to give away, make sure it is something that is of value. If it is not, you lose trust in peoples eyes. It can be an email series, ebook, video series etc.

4. Take a long term approach
As with anything, learning how to generate leads takes time. Continue to analyse what works and what doesn’t. Be prepared to spend money and become a student again. It could become one of the most rewarding things you ever do.
