Acts 14: 19 Is A Great Example Of Overcoming Obstacles And Just Getting On With It.

I love the Word of God and the vast amount of knowledge and wisdom that is contained with it. Every time I open it I feel as though I am being nourished somewhere deep inside.

It really is the Food we all need. For me though, I am on a mission, a mission to find Gods secrets to business success and learn from Him and His people through out the ages.

He is showing me that the more I look at His work with A PURPOSE rather than just reading it like a story book (although there are times I just get so caught up in it, I can’t help myself), I am able to find answers to questions and foundations for my business to grow on.

One of those solutions came this morning as I was reading the book of Acts. There is something about this book that just opens up God and His ways, to see His mighty power working through normal people like you are me, gives me hope but it also excites me.

Anyway, today as I was reading Acts, one of the scriptures that jumped out at me was Acts 14: 19:

^“19 Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowd over. They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was dead. ²⁰ But after the disciples had gathered around him, he got up and went back into the city. The next day he and Barnabas left for Derbe.”

What struck me in this scripture was the purpose behind Paul. Even though he had just been stoned, and some say he was dead, but was brought back to life, he got up and went back to the town that stoned him and didn’t leave until the next day.

Imagine that, getting rocks thrown at you, being killed or almost killed, getting back up and going back possibly for me.

I can see Paul was a man on a mission and nothing someone else could or would do was going to stop him.

Now think about this for your business, we all take knocks, I hope none of us take a stoning, but what is your response? Do you get back up and go back into the fight or do you run away questioning and doubting yourself and your God?
