Network Marketing Training & Multi Tasking
(Make sure you watch todays video)
I am terrified about today’s post, I know that as soon as I start talking about multitasking and my thoughts around it, that the comments are going to fly, names will be thrown and I am going to get in trouble with many people. Well that is what my emotions are telling me, but in reality I have this gut feeling that what I share about multitasking will be accepted as truth.
In the industry of network marketing, many of us fall into the trap of believing we can be all things to all people and that we need to be run off our feet, have no time and that it takes an extraordinary kind of person to achieve results and change their lives. However what I have found it takes a person that is 100% focused on achieving their goals and changing their life, a person that is able to help other people see that they can do it and give them a clear and concise step by step plan on how to do it, a person that does not get distracted easily…
Today lets talk about “Multi Tasking” and lets look at the lie behind it.
Please understand before we get started that I believe there are times when we have to be doing more than one thing at a time, the thing to understand is that we can not do it at the same level if we gave that 1 thing our 100% attention.
You know this to be true.
Ask yourself this question, what would you prefer from the person you are speaking to, would you prefer their “Full 100% attention” or are you happy to just fit in with everything else that is happening around them. What about your children, when your speaking to them, are you happy for them to continue doing everything else they are doing when you need to correct or adjust an attitude issue they have?
Of course you want their full attention, and so does your business.
Multi Tasking, while some people do it better than others (I have worked out, I am terrible at it) is a lie that we need to be fully aware of.
So when you are putting together your marketing campaign, speaking to your leads, your teams or whatever else you need to be doing, don’t allow yourself to fall into the trap of thinking you can do all things at a high level of excellence, you can’t.
Here are some little tips I do to help me get more done, I am a work in motion and still have a lot to do to get it right, however I am committed to making this the year that I get better by developing my daily habits.
Don’t look at any of your social media sites when you are working on something else
Ignore your emails
Tell anyone that may come in to talk to you that you take a certain set time each day to take appointments
Set appointments and don’t allow other things to distract you during those appointments. (I hate being in an appointment, whether it is on the phone or in person and the other person is checking messages, taking calls etc so I know that others would hate it as well if I do it to them)
Be strong
You can do this, and if you start to carve out time each day to get things done, that are important, you will have great success.
Let’s do this together, let’s have fun and let’s make this year the best year of our lives so far.
