Are 3 way calls important?

This has to be one of the most under-utilised and yet most powerful components of a home based business, especially in the network marketing arena.

It brings freedom and results, it combines on the job training and business building activities all at the same time and yet the ones who don’t understand its true power don’t utilise it.

You have the brand new associate who doesn’t want to because they are afraid to talk to and invite someone.

You have the upline leader who doesn’t recommend them due to their own personal insecurities and not truly knowing what to do.

You have the experienced leader who has done many of them, knows the power but is tired and so they try and get others in the team to do them but don’t do them themselves.

And then you have the true active leader who is driving their team and showing from example how to do a 3 way call and why they are a remarkable tool that everyone should be using.

Over the last 2 days, I have done numerous 3 way calls, I even did one with my wife Kasey. It was her first ever time speaking to a prospect that was developed from the internet and so I helped her speak to that person, Kasey did so well, that the lady came on board as a champion at our top package. (I can not tell you how proud of you I am of Kasey… I fall more and more in love with her every single day and she does things she has never done before).

Would she have been able to get this result without a 3 way call, I doubt it, but she does surprise me often, but the big question is, did the 3 way call help her?

YES!

Many people get caught up into believing that the 3 way call is hard or a big sell, in fact all it is is a relationship building arrangement.

The professional doesn’t “sell”, the professional asks questions, gets permission and then shows what they do and invites the other person to be a part of it because what we do, meets their need or want.

Whether you are a brand new person or a seasoned leader, 3 way calls should be a major part of your business going forward. Not only should you be bringing your own prospects onto a 3 way call, but you should be doing them as well.

You don’t need to be the polished presenter either, all that needs to happen if you are doing a 3 way call for one of your team is make sure your team member edifies you to their prospect and that you edify the team member back to them as well. This is one of the most critical components of a 3 way call.

The prospect is asking themselves these two questions: “is this simple?” and “can I do it?” and so if they hear you doing something simple, they will think “Wow if they can do it, I can do it”.

One of the reasons I got started was because I attended a couple of meetings and the people that were presenting were absolutely terrible, but I heard that they were earning a couple of thousand dollars and so I thought to myself, if they can do it, I can most definitely do it. It wasn’t because they did an incredible presentation, it was actually because they did a TERRIBLE one.

People feel good when they see someone making mistakes, especially if that person is having a little bit of success, that is why you need the edification process happening. If the prospect just heard you edify the team member and they see that team member making mistakes but still having some kind of success, they will answer their own question: “can I do it?”

You can use 3 way calls not only as a for you, your prospect and your leader, but you can also use a 3 way call for conference calls. This is something we love to do and it works well.

Your team member brings their prospect onto a conference call with a group of other people, everyone says hi and then the call is put on mute and everyone is listening to a live presentation.

After the presentation, you, your upline leader and the prospect have another 3 way call to see if they are ready to get started in business or as a client with you.

The system of 3 way calls is so exciting and I wish more people would do them.

Kasey asked me yesterday when she heard me do my 3rd call for the day, she said, “Honey does the rest of the team know they can book you up to do 3 way calls and you will train them?”

I said they do, but unfortunately not everyone does it.

It is a real shame, the only reason I think people don’t do it is because they become afraid, they don’t know what to say or they think it is hard.

It isn’t…

We have many of our team doing 3 way calls every single day, not with me because they are trained now, but they are doing them for their teams.

Take this opportunity to start doing 3 way calls with your team and with your upline.
